ADHD ASSESSMENTS & REPORTS

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are conditions in which people struggle with attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. They will have typically had these challenges from childhood, although they may only be diagnosed in adulthood.

Adult ADHD Assessments:
At Luxe Psychology Practice we offer full diagnostic ADHD assessments conducted by a HCPC registered Psychologist.

Our ADHD assessments can be conducted online via video call so it does not matter whereabouts you are located in the world, you can still receive a full ADHD diagnostic assessment with a Psychologist.

What can I expect from a full Adult ADHD assessment?
-
Full diagnostic ADHD assessments include a 60-90 minute clinical interview with a Psychologist, to understand your current difficulties and early-life experiences.

-
Validated, self-report questionnaires (using Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scales) to be complete by the client and 'an observer' (someone who knows you well or lives with you i.e. a parent, relative, partner).

-
A full report will then be provided by a HCPC registered Psychologist, which will provide the outcome of your assessment. Please note: the turnaround time for this report will be 2 weeks from receiving the completed self-report questionnaires.

What is an ADHD Screening Assessment?

An Adult ADHD screening assessment only provides a ‘potential diagnosis’. For a formal diagnosis a full ADHD assessment would be required. A screening assessment is recommended for those who are unsure if they meet ADHD criteria and because of this are hesitant to book a full ADHD assessment.

Please Note: We do not currently prescribe medication for ADHD, but should the client receive a diagnosis and want to access medications now or in the future the final report should provide evidence of an adequate assessment to confirm diagnosis of ADHD.
You can consult your GP or local ADHD service for guidance on how to access post-diagnostic support and treatment in your area. This treatment can also be sought from a private paediatrician or psychiatrist and in some areas private nurse prescribers can also support this.
